There is so much to think about when planning a wedding, and once you've got the big choices out of the way, sometimes the details can feel overwhelming.

Choosing the music for your wedding day is one of the ways to inject your personality as individuals, and a couple, into the day - and it's also really fun!

I've nailed done the perfect guide to choosing your wedding music below, and I've also done some number crunching on my top 3 requests for each part of your wedding day!

Ceremony
Before the Ceremony
The music at this point sets the scene for your guests arriving, and lots of people choose to have romantic songs played here - it is a wedding after all!

Top Requests:
Can't Help Falling in Love - Elvis Presley
A Thousand Years - Christina Perri
All of Me - John Legend
Processional (The Walk Down The Aisle)
This is the PERFECT time to put your musical stamp - it's your last walk as a singleton after all! Think about the effect you want to have; are we going for gliding serenely down the aisle or a triumphant walk? The music can help inform this and set the scene for your magical entrance.

Top Requests:
A Thousand Years - Christina Perri
Canon in D - Pachelbel
Perfect - Ed Sheeran
Signing of the Register
This can be a really lovely, reflective moment in the ceremony - it's the moment it all becomes legal! This time can take between 2 and 10 minutes depending on your photographer and how many images you would like at this point.

Top Tip: Consider whether you want your guests to come up and take photos during this time - this can significantly extend the time required!

Top Requests:
All Of Me - John Legend
Perfect - Ed Sheeran
How Long Will I Love You - Ellie Goulding

Recessional (Leaving the Ceremony)
It's upbeat all the way here as you walk out into the celebration part of your day! I think it's best to choose a relatively long song here as your guests will also walk out to the same music and there's nothing worse than silence!

Top Requests:
Marry You - Bruno Mars
It Must Be Love - Madness
Wedding March - Mendelssohn

Drinks Reception & Wedding Breakfast
The world is your oyster with choices here! Think about your venue and the vibes it gives - is it rustic and folky or a stately home that requires more classical music?
Choices for this part of the day have ranged from the super well known to the obscure, but this is also a chance to ask for the songs you really want your guests to hear!

Top Requests:
Can't Help Falling in Love - Elvis Presley
Your Song - Elton John
Can You Feel The Love Tonight - Elton John
I hope this has helped your choices, and takes the stress out of planning a little bit!
