Working in the wedding industry, you would think that I’d find planning my own wedding a piece of cake – not so! There is so much to think about, so many threads to pull together, and so much time needed!
We tied the knot in October 2022 and it truly was the most amazing day. I had so much fun, everything flowed brilliantly and virtually nothing went wrong. So here’s some lessons I learned throughout the planning process, on the day, and afterwards!

You might remember that back in January 2022 I was asked to take part in a styled shoot at Harlaxton Manor. Now, if you know this venue then you’ll know it’s very hard to turn down!
When I first met Meg Senior, I was bowled over by her positivity, bubbly personality and hilarity. She’s like a ray of sunshine and even her Instagram feed cheers me up on a blue day!
Plus, when I found out that she often goes for walks in the same park that my parents had their first date in, I knew we had to chat more! I often feature wedding suppliers on my blog that I have worked with, but this feature is slightly different – Gemma Randall photographed my wedding!
