The wedding recessional is one of my favourite moments to play as a harpist. After the emotion of the vows, the exit music signals the start of the celebrations. You are married, your guests are on their feet, and the atmosphere is full of joy. Choosing the right wedding ceremony music for this moment makes it even more memorable.
Couples often ask me for suggestions when planning their wedding music, so I have put together a list of songs that always work beautifully as a recessional. Each has its own style and personality, but they all share one thing: they bring happiness and energy as you walk back down the aisle together.

As a professional wedding harpist, I have had the pleasure of playing for many couples during one of the most joyful parts of their wedding day, the drinks reception. After the emotion of the ceremony, this is the time when everyone can relax, mingle and enjoy a glass of fizz before the meal and speeches. Music makes a real difference to the atmosphere, and the harp is a wonderful choice.
